Everyone knows how expensive the cost of drugs are today. I constantly hear people complaining about the cost of copays as well.
While trying to find ways to save you money (as well as needing to come up with a money-saving idea for my weekly blog), I found a Web site that I thought I'd suggest to you: OPTIMIZERx, which allows you to link to drug companies that offer coupons for prescriptions you might be taking.
Click on the link above and you can check to see if your prescriptions have coupon programs. If they do, take a minute to register. After you complete the very brief registration, type in the name of the prescription that you need, and you will be provided with the link directly to the manufacturer's coupon. Print out the coupon, take it to the pharmacy, and you will save money the next time you get your prescription filled.
It's springtime, and my doctor just wrote me two prescriptions for my allergies. I went to the OPTIMIZERx Web site and printed out a $10 coupon for Nasonex. I also use another allergy spray called Astepro. Astepro will pay 100% of my copay on the first prescription. On renewals, I will pay the first $20 of the copay and any leftover balance of the copay will be covered by the manufacturer up to $100!
Obviously all prescriptions are not giving coupons or rebates, but it's certainly worth taking a minute to check. It also might be a good idea to mention this to your clients, especially the older ones who might be taking many medicines and always like finding a good deal.
